About 25 years ago, I began breeding pugs, captivated by their charming personalities, adorable flat faces, and curled tails. I immersed myself in learning about the breed and its show standards, but back then, the internet and search engines were not available, making it difficult to connect with other breeders. The "purebred" market was also closed off to newcomers, which led me to stop breeding as I couldn't continue to build quality in my lines. Fast forward to 2020, when we welcomed our first two bernedoodles into our home. We instantly fell in love with their non-shedding coats, intelligent and playful nature, and affectionate demeanor, which inspired my family and me to start Stone Arch Doodles.
